Jindal Stainless Q2 net jumps 120 pc

Mumbai, Oct 27 (UNI) Jindal Stainless has posted a profit after tax of Rs 97.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 44.02 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 120.46 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) is Rs 1150.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 whereas the same was at Rs 811.95 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005.

The results for the corresponding period are not comparable as Orissa plant was not in operation during the corresponding period of the previous year.
