Jayanthi Natarajan bereaved

Chennai, Oct 27 (UNI) Rukmini Sundarajan, daughter of Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Bhakthavatchalam and mother of Congress Spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan, died here last night after a prolonged illness.

She was 74.

Sundarajan is survived by her husband, Dr C R Sundarajan, daughter Jayanthi Natarajan, son Dr S Sridhar and grandson Badri Natarajan.

Sundrajan had been suffering from a brain tumour for the past one year and was being treated at a leading private hospital in the city.

The end came last night after she suffered a massive heart attack, family sources said.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Union Minister G K Vasan, State Ministers Arcot N Veerasamy and M K Stalin were among those who paid their respects by placing wreaths on the mortal remains of Sundarajan.
