Haryana: Rs 9 crore disbursed under Bima Yojna

Chandigarh, Oct 27 (UNI) The Haryana government has disbursed a sum of Rs 9.58 crore to 958 beneficiaries under the Rajiv Gandhi Parivar Bima Yojna aimed at providing financial assistance to each and every household in the state in case of death of a family member.

An official spokesman said that under the scheme each and every Haryana citizen in the age group of 18 to 60 years had been covered under insurance.

In case of any unfortunate incident, if the insured person died or became completely disabled accidentally, the nominated person or his legal heir would be given a compensation of Rs one lakh.

In case of the loss of two body parts or loss of both the eyes, the compensation amount of Rs 50,000 would be given and in case of loss of one body part or one eye Rs 25,000 would be given as compensation.
