Gujarat Ganith Mandal: 43rd annual conference begins

Surat, Oct 27 (UNI) The 43rd annual conference of Gujarat Ganith Mandal, a state level forum of mathematicians, has begun here today at the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) campus.

The three day conference is attended by 450 delegates including university professors, school teachers and students of mathematics, organisers informed.

The Mandal which was formed to promote mathematics will discuss issues like the need to utilize mathematics for social requirements.

The conference will also discuss the need to train mathematics students to attend international seminars.

The conference which concludes on October 29, would be attended by eminent mathematicians like Prof.P.C.Vaidya and Prof.Aruna Vaidya, organisers informed.
