Great Indian October Fest gets under way

Bangalore, Oct 27 (UNI) The Great Indian October Fest, a three-day entertainment and fun festival organised jointly by Common Colours, the film and television based event managers, and Kingfisher of the UB Group, was formally inaugurated here today.

The event, which began last year and was turning into an annual tradition, would promise fun and excitement for everyone from children to youngsters and adults. The festival was of international tradition tailored to suit Indian tastes, Common Colours Marketing Director Arun said on the occasion.

He said logistics was top-notch to put the event on the international festival map, while keen attention was paid to ensure the comfort of each visitor.

He said that last year the fest had registered over 25,000 visitors, which was expected to double this year. The biggest names in entertainment in the city, including DJ Ivan, fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla, DJ Chiko and Rohit Barker, would line up to enthrall the visitors. Live music from India's top bands such as 'Pengagram' and 'Brahma' from Mumbai and 'The Clones' from Delhi would add up to the festival flavour. Face painting and tattoos by professionals, gaming section with games to test one's mind, physical ability and presence of mind, food court with an exotic spread of Indian, Western and Chinese food, jugglers, magic shows and a mast centre were organised.
