Four people taken for questioning in e-mail threat

Kochi, Oct 27 (UNI) Police rounded up four people for interrogation in connection with the e-mail threat to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his scheduled visit to Kerala on November 1.

Police sources said, owner of an internet cafe, two female employees and a watchman were taken for interrogation.

The e-mails, to about 20 officials, including CBI Director, Delhi Police Commisioner and several SPs of the state, was sent around 1500 hrs yesterday, sources added.

Two suo motu cases have been registered under IPC section 506 for sedation and section 120 for threatening President and Prime Minister, sources noted.

The e-mails threatened Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his scheduled visit to the state capital and also contained a threat to the President.
