DVAC raids former AIADMK ministers premises

Chennai, Oct 27: Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption sleuths today raided the residential and commercial complexes of former AIADMK Ministers Nainar Nagendran and S M Velusamy in the city and at their native places.

Official sources said the simultaneous raids began in the morning and are still on.

The raids were conducted at Mr Nagendran's residence at Raja Annamalaipuram in the city and at the commercial complex owned by him in his native place in Tirunelveli District and Mr Velusamy house in Coimbatore district.

Mr Nagendran and Mr Velusamy served as Industries and Backward Classes Ministers respectively in the previous AIADMK regime.
