New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) The Duke of York will visit Delhi from October 29 to November four as part of an India tour as Britain's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, supporting UK companies trading internationally and encouraging foreign investment.

Besides New Delhi, he will visit Mumbai.

In Mumbai on November one, Prince Andrew will present the first Trade and Investment Awards as part of a series of India-wide activities recognising the deep and wide-ranging relationship between the UK and India, especially in the fields of business, education, creative arts, science and technology and environment.

A British High Commission release quoted the Prince as saying that he was looking forward to his first visit as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment and learning more first hand about new and existing business opportunities in the region.

The Prince also said he was delighted to be able to present the first-ever UK Trade and Investment India Business Awards in Mumbai on November one.

These Awards, he said, ''recognise and celebrate UK and India's business partnership,'' specifically in terms of inward investment, collaborative business partnership, entrepreneurship and innovation.

The awards were announced by Prime Minister Tony Blair during his visit to New Delhi on September eight, 2005.

In Delhi, Prince Andrew will attend a lunch hosted by FICCI and will meet Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Ashwini Kumar.

He will also visit Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management, IIT, and attend the launching of the Vehicle Certification Agency's India Office.
