Committee on IFC to meet 'Bombay First' next week

Mumbai, Oct 27 (UNI) The committee formed on exploring the possibility for the development of Mumbai as International Financial Centre (IFC) will be meeting the representatives of 'Bombay First' somewhere next week to discuss various issues relating to the topic.

The committee, which is headed by P Mistry of Oxford Consultancy group, was formed by the Union Finance Minister, P Chidambaram, during his recent visit to the city for the inauguration of new building for SEBI. There are four bankers on the board of the high-level committee that include Bank of India's Chairman &Managing Director M Balachandran, HDFC's Managing Director Adityua Puri and ICICI Bank Managing Director K V Kamath.
