CM assures foolproof investigation into e-mail threat
Kochi, Oct 27 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said no stone would be left unturned to unravel the mystery behind the e-mail threat to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his visit to the state on November one.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Mr Achuthanandan said considering the seriousness, the Director General of Police was looking into the matter and investigation was progressing.
Meanwhile, he assured that the Prime Minister's itinerary would be as scheduled.
The mail was reportedly sent from an internet cafe here and two people were taken into custody for questioning, sources said.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Central Zone) K Padmakumar heading a special squad to investigate the case told UNI that the investigation was progressing but declined to divulge any details.
Sources said a team of Intelligence Bureau sleuths visited the cafe and checked the computers for evidence.
