Chakkajam over girl's death

Chhatarpur, MP, Oct 27 (UNI) A 'chakkajam' was staged by agitated people at Bhopal-Chhatarpur road near Agnaur village in this district last night after a six-year-old girl was crushed to death by a jeep, police said today.

The road blockade, which started at around 1500 hrs, was lifted late in the night after intervention by district incharge minister Ajay Vishnoi, who announced ex-gratia of Rs 6,000 to the next of kin besides assuring action in the matter.

Jeep driver Raju Malviya was arrested.
