BSNL subscribers can now track their friends

New Delhi, Oct 27: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL),the largest telecom service provider in the country today said that the company has launched a service where the subscriber can track their buddies, locate resources on map and even make new friends.

Called the location based services, it is available for all mobile subcribers free upto December 31, 2006.

BSNL happens to he the first such operator to launch such type of location based services which are essential for carriers to effectively compete and differentiate in the wireless market place.

The tracker helps enterprises to track, monitor, manage resources which can be their vehicles, assets or mobile employees in a secure way using a simple web browser.

The friend finder allows users to locate, communicate with their colleagues, friends and family members and also see locations on the map.

The service also enables subscribers to receive latest information about big sales, new products etc.

The chatting service allows subscribers to communicate or meet with other subscriber in their vicinity.
