BJP threatens to move court on expansion issue in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Oct 27 (UNI) BJP legislator Saryu Rai today reiterated his demand to Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibte Razi to ensure induction of the 12th minister in the Madhu Koda cabinet within a fortnight.
Mr Rai said though his earlier plea was rejected, he might again move court to seek constitutional justice.
Mr Rai today sent a letter to the Governor requesting him to ask the state government to announce the 12th minister's name so that the constitutional provision was protected.
The Opposition BJP has been criticising the UPA government for its inability to have a full fledged council of ministers even after a month.
Mr Koda was sworn in on September 18 with three other ministers.
Ever since then two cabinet expansions took place but one more slot is yet to be filled up.
Referring to Jharkhand High Court's observation on the matter, Mr Rai said the court rejected his plea, saying the matter was with the Governor.
