Bharti Airtel Q2 net surges 77.51 per cent
Mumbai, Oct 27: Bharti Airtel Ltd has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 888.35 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 500.43 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, a jump of 77.51 per cent.
Announcing the results, the company said its total revenue has increased from Rs 2640.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 4212.98 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
As per the Audited Consolidated results, as per Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP), the Group has posted a profit for the period of Rs 878.84 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 507.16 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 2742.70 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 4363.03 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
The Unaudited Consolidated results as per United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP), the Group has posted a net income of Rs 933.82 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 520.91 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Revenue has increased from Rs 2709.10 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 4357.14 crore for quarter ended September 30, 2006.
