New UN Sec-Gen Ban to visit Moscow on Nov 1
Moscow, Oct 27: Newly-elected UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will arrive here on November 1 to discuss UN reform and other key international issues with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Mr Ban will also hold talks with chairman of the Federation Council (Upper House) Sergei Mironov and speaker of the State Duma (Lower House) Boris Gryzlov, Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today.
This will be Mr Ban's first visit to Russia after being elected to the UN's top post.
