Air Deccan launches new flights connecting Bhubaneshwar
Kolkata, Oct 27 (UNI) Air Deccan, India's first low cost carrier announced the launch of new flights from Delhi to Bhubaneshwar and Raipur.
The new flights will commence operations from November 20.
An Airbus A320 (180 seater) aircraft will be deployed to serve these routes. Bookings for the flights are open.
Capt G R Gopinath, Managing Director Air Deccan said, '' Industry in Bhubaneswar is centered around textiles with a full fledged cloth industry, and the city is a link in India's weaving belt that extends to the Northeast Hill States. '' " Bhubaneshwar is a significant pilgrim destination and houses India's most exquisite and beautiful temples attracting several domestic and international tourists every year, " he said.
He further added, ''Air Deccan already connects Bhubaneshwar to Kolkata by two daily flights and the new links to Delhi and Raipur an upcoming industrial town will enable lots more travelers to experience the splendor of the Temple City and open up the gateway into the rich state of Orissa.''
