Air Deccan connects Delhi with Bhubaneswar

Bangalore, Oct 27 (UNI) Low cost airliner Air Deccan today announced the launch of new flights from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar from November 20 by deploying a 180-seater Airbus A320.

Air Deccan Managing Director Capt G R Gopinath, in a release here said connectivity was key for economic growth in emerging industrial and commercial centres. Industry in Bhubaneswar was centered around textiles with a full-fledged cloth industry and the city was a link in India's weaving belt that extended to the North East States.

It was also a significant pilgrim destination and housed India's most exquisite and beautiful temples, attracting several domestic and international tourists every year, he added.

Low cost air link by Air Deccan would provide the much needed connectivity at low costs to scores of people travelling to Bhubaneswar for business as well as tourist activities.

He said ''Air Deccan already connects Bhubaneshwar to Kolkata by two daily flights and the new links to Delhi and Raipur, an upcoming industrial town, will enable lots more travellers to experience the splendour of the Temple City and open up the gateway into the rich State of Orissa.''
