ABT Parcel Service plans to start Omni-Bus Services

Coimbatore, Oct 27 (UNI) The 75-year old ABT Parcel Service plans to start long distance Omni-Bus Services initially from three sectors, all to Chennai, from November 1.

Talking to newspersons here today, ABT Group Managing Director M Manickam said the air-conditioned luxury buses would ply to Chennai from Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Pollachi initially. Before the end of the year, they would run from various locations to neighbouring states like Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh with 30 buses.

He said besides ensuring comfort and safety, ABT had also made travel costs reasonable and fair. The company had also introduced e-ticketing facility so that travellers need not wait in the queue to reserve seats. They had also fixed GIS system in all buses for communications, to locate the bus at any given time for better services, he added.
