A murderer sentenced to life imprisonment

Madikeri, Oct 27 (UNI) An accused in a murder case was sentenced to life imprisonment by Fast Track Court at Virajpet today.

Kurka (35) had stabbed to death his tent mate Sabu (40) at Eachur Village near Ponnampet in the Taluk in August 2005 after a fight broke between the two over a petty matter of cooking inside temporary shed erected in a ginger field. Kurka attacked Sabu, who died on the spot.

The judge Jawed Pasha sentenced Karku to life imprisonment after verifying about 17 witnesses.
