Soldier dead, 12 injured in bus accident

Srinagar, Oct 26: One soldier was killed and 12 others were injured in a road accident on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway this morning.

Official sources said a State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) bus carrying army personnel to Jammu and another bus collided head on at Lethpora, about 10 km from here.

They said one soldier died on the spot and 12 others were wounded. The injured were admitted to the hospital.

This led to a disruption of traffic on the highway for about two hours, the sources added.
