Satyam awarded three ISO certifications

Hyderabad, Oct 26 (UNI) Satyam Computer Service Limited today announced that it was awarded Global Certification in the ISO (Quality Management), ISO 20000 (Information Technology Service Management for Infrastructure Management Services and Network and Systems) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) standards.

With the successful audit of the Development Centre at Budapest, Hungary, all three certifications were conferred at an organisation level, a company release here said.

Satyam was the first organisation in the world to be awarded a Global Certificate in all three standards by the BQVI auditors, London, the certifications were evidence of Satyam's longstanding commitment to the use of repeatable and consistant processes and procedures in all 55 countries in which it does business, it said.

''Using the ISO 9001 as the fundamental cornerstone, Satyam had deployed security and service management processes to all sites globally, said BQVI auditor Trevor D'ouce.

Mr Trevor said ''Having implemented a cetralised approach to monitoring and controlling all aspects of the infrastructure, Satyam can now demonstrate control, traceability, service delivery, and security in a consistant and effective manner''.
