Rupee strong by 12 paise, closes at 45.25.50/26.50/USD

Mumbai, Oct 26: Indian Rupee today strengthened by twelve paise to Rs 45.25.50/26.50 per US Dollar compared to previous 45.37 per US Dollar, a money market trader said.

The six month forward premia was fixed at 1.61/63 per cent and the one year premia was at 1.53/57 per cent.

Reserve Bank Of India today fixed the reference Rate at Rs 45.30 per US Dollar compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.40 per US Dollar.

The performance of Rupee against other currencies was not upto the mark, against Euro Rupee closed down at Rs 57.28 (56.94), against Pound Sterling it closed down at Rs 85.27 (84.91 ) and against Yen it closed down at Rs 38.10 (38.07).
