Reliance Capital Q2 net increases by 6.18 pc

New Delhi, Oct 26: Reliance Capital today reported a 6.18 per cent hike in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006, at Rs 167.15 crore, as against Rs 157.42 crore during the same period last year.

The total income increased 23 per cent at Rs 222.84 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 181.28 crore for the corresponding period an year ago.

The group registered a net profit of Rs 191.99 crore after minority interest and share of profit of associates, which was up by 18 per cent as compared to Rs 162.75 crore for the quarter.

It's Income from Operations was at Rs 536.86 crore for the quarter, where as the same was less by 117.8 per cent during the corresponding quarter previous year at Rs 246.17 crore.
