Randhawa shares early lead with Kahlon, Ganapathy

Greater Noida, Oct 26 (UNI) Ace Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa carded a blemish-free six-under 66 opening round to share a three-way lead with Harmeet Kahlon and Rahul Ganapathy at the Rs 70-lakh BILT Open which commenced here today.

Randhawa carried forward from where he left at the Indian Open, the Asian Tour event which he won last weekend, and struck birdies at the fifth, seventh, ninth, 11th, 13th and 16th holes.

Harmeet, who teed off from the 10th hole, banged in eight birdies but was held back by a couple of dropped shots. As he signed off with a birdie on the ninth, he joined Randhawa on the top.

Rahul Ganapathy, also a 10th-hole starter, birdied at 12th, 14th, 15th and 18th holes before making the turn at four-under. He fired three more birdies against a solitary bogey on the fourth in his front nine to tie for the lead.

Gurbaaz Mann, C Muniyappa an amateur Gagan Verma carded an identical five-under round for the tied fourth spot.
