PM leaves for New Delhi after a brief visit to AP
Hyderabad, Oct 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh left here for New Delhi after a day's visit to Andhra Pradesh.
He was seen off at the Begumpet airport by Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his cabinet colleagues.
Dr Singh who turned down a ceremonial welcome on his arrival here this morning, however gave his consent to a ceremonial send off.
The Chief Minister who accompanied the Prime Minister for the three programmes, including the public meeting, was the first to receive him at the airport.
Dr Singh was presented flowers and tri-colour shawls from party leaders and activists who were allowed to greet him, on the airport.
However, he did not speak to the media.
