One dead, 46 injured in bus accident in Udhampur

Jammu, Oct 26 (UNI) One passenger was killed and 46 others injured today when a bus they were travelling went off the road at Pangara, about 14 kms from Udhampur, official sources said.

The bus was on its way from Udhampur to Panchari.

The incident occured at around 0800 hrs. The deceased has been identified as one Mohammed Yousaf of Sarore (Jammu), police said.

Three seriously injured passengers were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu while the rest were being treated at the District Hospital Udhampur, they said.

The reason behind accident was yet not known, they added.

The driver, however, fled the scene after the accident, police said.
