No joint venture with Punjab, Haryana: Virbhadra

Shimla, Oct 26 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said the state will not have any joint venture with the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana unless all pending issues, concerning Himachal were resolved.

''Since the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana are not co-operating with Himachal and are acting against our interests, the state government will not be have any joint venture with them,'' he told mediapersons here.

Mr Singh said the state had to approach the Supreme Court for getting its legitimate share in hydropower projects because of the non-cooperative attitude of the neighbouring states. ''I hope the court will soon announce its decision on the case.'' The neighbouring states had also worked the interests of Himachal by opposing the industrial package to the state, he said, adding that it was not good on their part.
