MFS Golden Jubilee celebrations

Chennai, Oct 26 (UNI) Madras Film Society (MFS), the oldest Film Society in South will kick off its Golden Jubilee celebrations on October 30 at the Film Chamber here.

MFS plans to hold various programmes, spread over one year, from this month in view of their Golden Jubilee, an MFS release here said.

Film Producer and actor Prakash Raj would be the Guest of Honour on the occasion and kickstart the celebrations in the presence of Mr David T Hopper, US Consul General for South India.

Ms Ammu Swaminadhan, mother of late Advocate General Govind Swaminadhan was the founder president of the Society. Many film personalities have benefitted and continue to benefit from the screening of international films in the society.
