Manipur board imbroglio to end soon

Imphal, Oct 26: L Rajmohon Singh, Controller of Examinations of the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) was appointed as Secretary-in-charge of the Board and Joint Secy in-charge of BSEM, M Matum Singh was appointed as Controller of Examinations.

The Manipur Board employees had been on stir demanding appointment of a full time Secretary. Due to the stir normal activities of the Board were affected and an official of the Board said with the appointment of the new Secretary the normal activities of the Board may resume.

He revealed that review, printing of books and other activities of the Board were not done done for the past two months properly due to absence of a Secretary. The previous Secretary was suspended for alleged mismanagement of the Board by the state government.
