Lucknow, Oct 26 (UNI) Mafia don Om Prakash Srivastava alias Babloo Srivastava has expressed threat to his life from fellow underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and ISI modules active in the country.

Babloo has urged the government to provide him adequate security inside the jail and during his appearance in the court.

In a letter to the Uttar Pradesh government -- a copy of which was also sent to the Singapore Embassy, New Delhi, the don, through his counsel, has urged them to provide adequate security both while inside the Lucknow Jail and when he is travelling from Central Jail, Bareilly to Lucknow.

In the three-page letter, written by his counsel Harjot Singh, Babloo apprehended that he might be elimated by ISI or Dawood men anytime.

''I am a hard-core nationalist and the ISI wants to eliminate me to settle old scores,'' the don claimed in his letter.

Further he said because of his ''nationalist approach'' and his determination to assist intelligence sources to finish anti-national forces in the country, both Dawood and the ISI want to eliminate him through the assistance of some 'local influential' group.

Claiming that the Centre had given undertaking in a Singapore court during extradition hearing that his life would be secure, Babloo claimed his security had been lowered and adequate measures were not adopted to ensure his proper security.

Babloo was extradited from Singapore in September 1995.

Making another plea, he said any attack on his life would disturb the ''public order'' and would be a threat on the law and order situation of UP.

Meanwhile, state home department officials have denied knowledge of any such letter sent by the don.
