Janata Darshans to be held in all dists of K'taka
Gulbarga, Oct 26 (UNI) Janata Darshans will be held in every district of Karnataka to redress the grievances of the public, Women and Child Welfare Minister H K Kumaraswamy said today.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the move was aimed at solving the problems of women, disabled and senior citizens, who could not come to the capital city to get their problems solved.
Mr Kumaraswamy informed that 100 disabled people in every district would be provided employment. There were about ten lakh physically-handicapped people in the State and four lakh of them got aid from the Government. A sum of Rs 85 crore had been earmarked for the purpose.
He said the Government was taking steps to fill the 374 backlog posts of grade 1, 2, 3 and 4 meant for the handicapped by enacting a special law. Besides, 20 disabled women's hostel had been sanctioned, he added.
