FIR against head-constables for stealing govt weapons

Kanpur, Oct 26 (UNI) An FIR has been lodged against two police head-constables for stealing government weapons from the 'Malkhana' (Police store) of Kanpur City.

The accused -- Rajendra Singh and Parshuram -- are accused of committing irregularities in 'Malkhana', of which they were in charge, besides extending undue advantage to criminals, police said.

An inquiry was conducted by a senior police official and the case lodged today after the report indicted the duo in the crime.

Meanwhile, efforts were being made to arrest the two cops.
