Dry weather over North Interior Karnataka

Bangalore, Oct 26 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Sulya, Bantwal, Ponampet 2 each, Subramanya, Kollegal, Hoskote, Mandya 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State and were appreciably above normal places being markedly so few places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and normal over North Interior Karnataka Minimum temperatures changed little over the State and were above normal few places over South Interior Karnataka and normal over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Karwar recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.8 deg.

Celsius and Bijapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.2 deg. Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada, Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajnagara, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Kodagu districts.

Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy. A spell of light rain likely.
