Day temperatures were above normal;night tem below normal

Pune, Oct 26 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Konkan and Goa, appreciably above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and in some parts of Assam, Saurashtra and Kutch and were above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Himachal pradesh and in some parts of Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, south Madhya Maharashtra and south interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and were below normal in north Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal over Jharkhand and in some parts of Orissa and were below normal in some parts of Assam. They were appreciably above normal in Kashmir and in some parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat Region and were above normal in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Tamil Nadu and many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Kerala. Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and isolated places in Orissa, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana and coastal Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar,Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Tamil Nadu and many places in Lakshadweep. Rain orl thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar and at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalsaseema, coastal Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
