Bank employees to go on strike tomorrow

Ahmedabad, Oct 26 (UNI) Banking services in Gujarat is likely to be affected tomorrow with bank employees deciding to go on a day's strike to press the management for acceptance of their demands.

''More than 50,000 staff from Gujarat of all ranks from different banks are expected to participate in the strike under the banner of Union Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), which has affiliation of all bank unions across the country,'' a Mahagujarat Bank Employees Association (MBEA) release said here today.

The release further said clearing operations would be affected in the state, adding that 10 lakh bank employees are expected to participate in strike nationwide.
