Kochi, Oct 26 (UNI) Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, today launched factory built cab 'Comet 1611' to meet the growing demand in rated payload segment.

Talking to mediapersons here, Regional Manager Ramji Narayanaswamy said the vehicle was 10 per cent more fuel-efficient than the existing class of vehicles and addresses the top-of-the-mind concern of the customers.

He said the 20 feet vehicle had extra loading capacity and this translated to proportionately higher revenue in target applications, where volume was considered than weight.

The vehicle catered the needs of payload segments like parcel, courier, white goods and tankers.

Comet 1611 was designed for quicker turnaround and was engineered to improve the profitability of the customers, Mr Narayanaswamy added.
