TN: New postpaid payment service by Airtel

Chennai, Oct 26: Bharti Airtel, India's leading mobile services provider, today introduced a new post-paid bill payment service through 'Airtel Easy Charge' retail outlets in Tamil Nadu.

An Airtel post-paid subscriber could pay the bills at any Easy Charge retail outlet in the state, a company release said here.

''Airtel post-paid customers can now pay their bills at their nearest Airtel retailer any time of the day.

''The retailer sends an SMS to Airtel and e-registers the amount paid by the customer.

''The customer and the retailer immediately receive a SMS on the mobile confirming the amount received.'' Announcing this new initiative, Mr Mahesh Thampi, COO, Mobile Services, Chennai and Tamil Nadu, Bharti Airtel Limited said "we have always taken the lead in introducing services that offers greater value coupled with ease of use to our customers.

"Our easy bill payment service is another innovative offering that will provide a lot of convenience to our post-paid customers in Tamil Nadu."
