Iinfiltration bid foiled, 3 intruders held in JK
Srinagar, Oct 25: The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled yet another infiltration bid when they arrested three Pakistani intruders near the Line of Control in Uri sector today, a BSF spokesman said.
He said troops guarding the LoC noticed a group of militants sneaking into this side from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) in Uri sector.
When challenged the militants surrendered before the BSF personnel, he said, adding a pistol with magazine and ten rounds were seized from them.
The infiltrators were identified as Bashir Ahmad Mir alias Reisi, Abdul Rahsid Peer alias Imran and Ashiq Iqbal Sofi alias Abu Hassan, the spokesman said, adding the intruders were affiliated with Al-Badr militant outfit.
This was the fourth infiltration bid in Northern sector of Jammu and Kashmir during the past four days.
Seven infiltrators were killed by the security forces during the past three days.
