Series of burglaries in Mysore

Mysore, Oct 25 (UNI) As many as 12 houses have been burgled at Kanakagiri, a densely populated locality in the city, early today.

Police said the miscreants targeted only locked houses during the Diwali festive season. They broke open the doors and ransacked the houses, after bolting the nearby houses from outside. Many residents woke up this morning to find their houses bolted and called passersby for help.

Police suspected it to be the handiwork of local professional offenders and not outsiders.
