Naga CM asks Pawar to exempt Import Duty
Kohima, Oct 25: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has urged Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, in a letter, to take up with appropriate authorities to exempt or reduce Import Duty for all infrastructure in the North Eastern Region.
Mr Rio has written to Pawar that the cost of Import Duty at about 40 per cent is too high.
He, also wrote in a letter, said the state government is proposing to import some protected cultivation structures like Hi-Tech Green House and Tunnel from Israel.
He said the Israeli structures are one of the best in terms of durability and quality.
