Police arrested 10 more persons in connection with Mohol case
Pune, Oct 25 (UNI) The anti-extornist squad of Pune police today nabbed ten alleged assailents in connection with the murder of NCP leader Sandeep Mohol at Ambe-Jogai village in Beed district.
Mohol who was nominated as the vice-president of the labour wing of the NCP was shot dead at Pune on October four.
Pune Police Commissioner D N Jadhav told reporters here today that the anti-extortionist squad, which was camping in Beed, working on a tip off rounded as many as ten persons who allegedly are said to be notorious criminals as per the past record avaialable with the police.
The raid was carried out by PI Bhanupratap Barge of the anti- extortionsit squad which had a team of 20 police personnel. The police recovered two fourwheelers as well as swords and chopers amounting to Rs five lakh, Mr Jadhav said.
Mr Jadhav said that all the alleged assailants numbering up to 18 so far is definitely involved in the murder of NCP leader Mohol. The police had earlier nabbed eight persosns in Pune.
Among the ten nabbed in Beed included notorious criminals Ganesh Newruti Marne, Rahul Taru, Anil Waghmare Nilesh Mangire and others, Mr jadhav said.
