Man held under Goondas Act for land grabbing

Kancheepuram, Oct 25 (UNI) Police yesterday arrested a 45-year-old man under the Goondas Act in connection with a 'multi-crore land grabbing case.' Police here today said M Nagaraj created fake documents for grabbing poromboke lands at Thailapuram, Varadarajapuram, Ammanapakkam and Perumbakkam.

His wife Pappa was also arrested in the case.

Further, Kancheepuram District Collector Pradeep Yadav suspended six officials for their alleged involvement in the scam.

Nagaraj and his wife were later sent to the Vellore Central Prison.
