K'taka Govt to finalise CET format

Bangalore, Oct 25 (UNI) Karnataka Government will finalise by December the new format for Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to professional courses from the next academic year, State Higher Education Minsiter D H Shanakramurthy said today.

Talking to newsmen here he said that the government would hold a meeting in the second week of November in connection with the CET.

Most of the private institutions have expressed support to a single CET in the interest of students, he added.

He said "the fee structure would be brought down from next year in comparision with the present fee structure," he said.

Regarding the cabinet shuffle, he said his party's list ministers to be inducted in the ministryu from BJP was ready but not yet given to the Chief Minister.
