Literary and Cultural Conf in Mumbai
Bangalore, Oct 25: The 10th All India Kannada Literary and Cultural Conference will be held in Mumbai on December Two and three.
The Conference organised by 'Dehali Kannadiga' a Kannada Monthly published from Delhi, would be inaugurated by Karnataka Minister for Home M P Prakash and would presided over by former Supreme Court judge and National Human Rights Commission Member Justice Dr Shivraj V Patil. Union Minister of State for Planning M V Rajashekaran would release the souvenir.
During the Conference Kannada Janapada Parishad President G Narayana, K L E Society Chairman Prabhakar Kore, MLC, noted writer Dr G D Joshi would be honoured with 'Kannada Vidyaranya', Best Social Worker' and 'B M Shri Literary' Awards respectively, according to a release here by Conference Convenor M B Samaga.
Seminar on Kannada Language, Literature and Culture, inter-State and linguistic harmony, poets meet, women festival, music, dance, drama and other cultural programmes and books exhibition would be held during the Conference.
More than 2,000 delegates, including writers, artists, professors and representatives of Kannada Associations from all over the country are expected to participate in the Conference.
