Indian flight stranded due to bird hit at Vadodara

Vadodara, Oct 25 (UNI) A New Delhi-bound Indian Airlines flight today made an emergency landing at the Harni airport in Vadodara following a bird-hit.

All passengers and crew members are reported safe.

According to airport authorities, the Indian flight that was supposed to fly from Vadodara to Delhi had taken-off at it's scheduled time at 0920 hrs. But after few minutes, the pilot reported to the control tower that the flight was hit by a bird and needed to make an emergency landing.

After the emergency landing, all passengers and crew were evacuated from the plane. They were then accommodated on another plane, which ultimately took-off for New Delhi at 1230 hrs.

Indian officials say the stranded plane will now be flown only after a thorough inspection.
