ID UL Fitr celebrated with enthusiasm in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Oct 25 (UNI) Id-Ul-Fitr was today celebrated with enthusiasm and religious fervour by the Muslim community here.

Main prayers were held at the Muslim Boarding ground to mark the occasion. Prayers were also held in various other places in the district, including the powerloom town Ichalkaranji and other areas.

As per tradition, they greeted each others and gave alms to the poor.

Former Maharashtra Minister Digvijay Khanvilkar, city MLA Maloji Raje and other local party leaders participated in the prayers and subsequent celebrations.
