Haryana takes crucial lead over J

Srinagar, Oct 25 (UNI) Haryana took a crucial first innings lead of 57 runs after they bundled out Jammu and Kashmir on 212 runs after scoring 269 in the first innings of an Under-22 C K Naidu Trophy league match here today.

Jammu and Kashmir were 23 for two at stumps with Asif Rasool and Rohit Bhat on crease yesterday. Asif Rasool and Manzoor Illahi consolidated the innings today and scored 68 and 61 runs respectively for the hosts to take the total score to 212.

For Haryana, Hemant Bansal took four wickets, Chandrapal Saini took three wickets while Sanjay Badhwar got two wickets and J Chaudhary one.

In the second inning, Haryana, were 48 for three at stumps of the second day match with Haryana skipper Mandeep Singh (one) and Sant Kumar (24) occupying the crease.

For the Home team in second inning Mohammad Mudassir took two wickets while Sameer Ali get one.

Brief score: Haryana: 1st innings: 269 for all out (H Bansal 70, Chandrapal Saini 33) J&K : 1st innings: 212 for all out ( Asif Rasool 68 and Manzoor Illahi 61) Haryana: 2nd innings: 48 for 3 at stumps.
