Govt considers pension for TA personnel with 7-yr service
Kozhikode, Oct 25 (UNI) The government was actively considering providing pension to personnel who had completed at least seven years embodied service in the Territorial Army, a senior officer has said.
A proposal to this effect had been submitted to the government, Commanding Officer of 122 Infantry Battalion (TA) Madras Colonel M Ramachandran said here last night.
At present, those with 15 years called out service in the TA were entitled for the post-retirement benefit, like regular army personnel.
