Five people killed in a road mishap

Bangalore, Oct 25: Five people were killed on the spot and four others injured when a tempo-trax, in which they were traveling, collided head-on against a truck near Nittur on Bangalore-Pune National Highway in Tumkur district of Karnataka today.

According to initial reports reaching police headquarters, the injured were admitted to nearby Sidhartha Medical College Hospital.

Following the incident the vehicular movement on the busy highway was disrupted for more than two hours.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot.
