Enterprise Architecture guru Zachman to tour India
Bangalore, Oct 25: Enterprise Architecture guru John A. Zachman will address conferences on Enterprise Architecture conference, organised by iCMG in Bangalore and Mumbai next month.
The one-day conference will be held here on November three after a similar Conference in Mumbai the previous day.
Mr Zachman would help representatives from the senior management section (CXOs, VPs and Directors) to align their business goals with IT investment using enterprise architecture. The conference would also help them to define enterprise models, which can grow and change as fast as the market evolves iCMG said in a release here today.
Mr Zachman is the inventor of the 'Framework for Enterprise Architecture' that had become the de-facto standard of the concept.
He is known as the 'father of enterprise architecture'. Since its first publication in 1987, the framework has been applied in Global 2000 organisations as the blueprint for ensuring business improvement and cost reduction. Mr Zachman serves on the Executive Council for Information Management and Technology of the United States General Accounting Office (GAO). He is also the CEO of ZIFA.
''In a high-growth industry, the senior management faces the daunting task of aligning IT systems with business goals to ensure competitiveness. Enterprise Architecture is a revolutionary concept used to manage and align an organisation's business processes with Information Technology. iCMG is proud to host Mr Zachman in India.'' Mr Sunil Dutt Jha, practising architect and CEO of iCMG, said.
The programme in India is supported by market leaders such as Microsoft, Telelogic, Compuware, Mastek, Wipro and TCS the release said. ''Microsoft believes that traveling the 'arc of possibility' is the foundation of everything done by creative developers, IT professionals, and business people with a mission. Architecture transcends the individual and creates a community of ideas with a shared language of design. Architecture crosses the boundaries of systems to unite the components of business. The arc of possibility beckons, and we are excited about the possibility of taking the journey together,'' said Mr Vivek Bhatnagar, Principal Architect Advisor, Microsoft India.
''We are very pleased to have John Zachman in India. The Zachman Framework is one of the most popular ones for defining Enterprise Architecture. Many companies are developing enterprise architecture and by utilising the Zachman Framework and Telelogic's Actionable Architecture, Indian consulting companies can deliver higher value services to their customers,'' said Mr Siddhartha Malik, Managing Director, Telelogic India.
